Neither a big storm nor a bitter cold wave are expected, but colder weather with snow is expected Monday evening through Tuesday morning in the Front Range region.
It’s hard to say if the snow (or a little rain at the start) will begin by Monday evening’s commute. I’d say probably in Cheyenne, maybe in Boulder and Denver, probably not south of Denver. Monday after dark through Tuesday morning are likely to see periods of mainly light snow, with possibly a couple hours of moderate or heavy snow.
Probable accumulations:
3-6 inches in and immediately along the foothills and Palmer Divide (including the west suburbs of Denver, Castle Rock, Boulder, and Nederland).
1-4 inches elsewhere (including Colorado Springs, Denver/DIA, Longmont, Fort Collins, and Cheyenne)
Some local reports over 6 inches are likely in the mountains.
